Council Planning Applications & TPO’s

Tree Preservation Order (TPO) & Conservation Area Compliance Made Easy

Before commencing work, we will always check if your tree is in a conservation area or has a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) protecting it.

A TPO is an order made by a local planning authority in England to protect specific trees, groups of trees or woodlands in the interests of amenity and requires the local authority’s written consent prior to any tree work.

If your tree is protected, we’re happy to handle the required Planning Application and manage all communication with the local Council on your behalf - at no extra cost when you choose us to carry out the tree work.

Please note: the Council typically takes up to six weeks to process applications for trees in Conservation Areas, and up to eight weeks for trees covered by a TPO.
